Welcome to the RoboCup SSL North American Open Site!
RoboCup SSL North American Competition and Conference aims to foster academic research and collaboration in robotics amongst members of the RoboCup Small Sized League (SSL) as well as promote interest in robotics research and development at UBC and in Canada.
RoboCup is the most prestigious robotics competition in the world, attracting over 3,000 researchers and students from over 40 countries annually. With RoboCup 2012 being held this year in Mexico City, UBC is hosting a SSL local competition, followed by a week-long 'camp' the week before the world competitions. The local competition attracts some of the best teams of the league and some of brightest young minds in the field. The week-long events aims to engage industrial partners, the university community as well as the Vancouver greater community by ways of interacting with the teams, and participating in lectures and workshops.
